Jean Mathews was an undergrad student of the USC's Entrepreneurship program who soaked up the advice given by the varied list of prominent guest speakers. She graduated with her head full of new business ideas.

Inspired by some work colleagues who had just completed their MBA, Jean began to look for a way to gain a bigger picture of the business world, ideally coupled with an environment that differed as much as possible from her undergrad time in sunny Southern California. Just in time for winter, she arrived in upstate New York at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management.

After graduating with a MBA, Jean did strategy and business development at a number of companies including Accenture, Disney Interactive Media Group, and Sony Pictures.  Getting a steady salary helped build a nest egg but her desire to create something on her own always nagged her.  And so she founded iMAGINATE, naming her company after the combination of "imagine" and "create". It is, more specifically, a consulting firm that specializes in strategy and business development within the app/games space.

Jean works with a wide variety of clients from indie developers to major studios – companies such as Kabam, Adult Swim Games (Turner Broadcast), Disney XD’s Slugterra (by NerdCorps), Roadhouse Interactive, and Harmonix.

Jean plans to continue advising tech start-ups that disrupt industries and innovate upon what is available today.
